Understanding Emerald Quality Grades
Exceptional
Eye-clean with exceptional color, clarity, and cut. These gems represent the pinnacle of emerald quality, with vibrant, rich green color and remarkable clarity. Reserved for the finest specimens in the world.
Superior
Nearly eye-clean with excellent color saturation and minimal inclusions visible only under magnification. These gems display excellent transparency and brilliance with rich green color.
Fine
Very good color with minor inclusions visible to the naked eye. These gems offer an excellent balance of quality and value, with appealing green color and good transparency.
Good
Good color with moderate inclusions visible to the naked eye. These gems have noticeable inclusions but maintain good color and acceptable transparency.
Commercial
Acceptable color with significant inclusions visible to the naked eye. These gems have more pronounced inclusion patterns but still maintain the characteristic green color of emeralds.

Emerald Origins & Characteristics
Brazil
Brazilian emeralds typically display a distinct bluish-green color and are sourced primarily from the states of Minas Gerais, Bahia, and Goiás. Their unique color profile and excellent value make them increasingly popular in the fine gemstone market.

Colombia
